En 1936 se estableci\u00f3 en Barcelona \u200b\u200by estudi\u00f3 derecho en la Universidad de Barcelona. Se ha dedicado a la poes\u00eda en castellano, y se le considera miembro de la Generaci\u00f3n de 1950. Ha colaborado en revistas y peri\u00f3dicos. En el campo de la cr\u00edtica del arte y la biograf\u00eda ha publicado numerosos libros y ha involucrado profundamente en el mundo del arte catal\u00e1n y espa\u00f1ol.
