Joan Vila-Grau

(Barcelona, ​​1932). Son and disciple of the painter Antoni Vila Arrufat and grandson of painter Joan Vila Cinca. He studied architecture (1950-1955) that he left to devote himself to painting professionally since 1955. Since that year, he began to make stained glass and ceramic murals, ceramic latter with Jordi Aguadé. He specializes in the history of glass and he is author of several books and articles on this topic. He is a member of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of Sant Jordi in Catalonia, the Royal Academy of Sciences and Arts and Corpus Vitrearum Medii Aevi and ICOM . Since 1999, he is been working on the design of the windows of the Sagrada Familia.
